Lee County basketball hasn't found an identity yet, but they're getting there.
It's been an up and down season for Kirven Davis and the Trojans, but after winning two out of three games at the U-Save-It Classic prior to Christmas break, there's plenty of confidence in Leesburg.
Senior Aaron May has carried most of the scoring load, but contributions have come from players of all classes. The depth has proven itself to be valuable on several occasions this year, including in a big home win over Seminole County.
There's certainly plenty of room for improvement, but Davis is pleased with the direction.
"We're still searching for an identity," Davis said. "But the good thing is, going into region play next week, I feel like we got all the bugs out."
The Trojans resume their season on January 10th at home against Hardaway.
