For the last three football seasons the Irwin County Indians have seen big improvement out on the grid iron and most of that was due to head coach Jon Lindsey. Unfortunately, for the Indians coach Lindsey will not be returning to Irwin for a fourth season.
Instead the winning coach is taking his talents to Cook County and becoming a Hornet. Coach Lindsey was 20-13-1 overall at Irwin County and was most notably known for last season. Coach Lindsey earned his second straight trip to the state playoffs, but falling to Charlton County in the semifinal round 33-34.
This is a bit of a jump for the head coach, from single A to Cook County's recent move to AAA but he said he is up for the new challenge.
Jon Lindsey said, "My family and I are excited for the move to Cook County and I am looking forward to getting on the football field."
