Hurricanes quiet ASU bats in win

All good things must come to an end.

Georgia Southwestern put Albany State's ten-game winning streak to bed on Wednesday in Americus with a 6-1 victory.

ASU was only able to muster up two hits against Hurricanes' righty Zach Smith, who tossed a complete game shutout. In the eighth inning, GSW's Brandon Eldridge hit a three-run homerun to break the game open.

Georgia Southwestern will travel to Young Harris College for a series this weekend, while the Golden Rams will try to get back against region foe Benedict at home.
