Greenwaves approach season with confidence

Two straight 5-5 seasons is good, but not good enough for the Terrell County Greenwaves.

"We want to make the playoffs," said head coach Vincent Huff. "We want to get in the playoffs and then we want to win."

The talent is there, but the experience may not be for Huff's team. Terrell County lost most of their skill players from a year ago, so they're breaking in a new batch of playmakers. They're also not very deep up front.

But they feel good about the starting quarterback. Trey Bishop started six games as a freshman in 2013, and his coaches and teammates expect bigger things in 2014.

If Bishop thrives, this could be the year the Greenwaves break through.

"We're expecting to win region, that's our only goal," said senior Shavoyae Brown. "I believe we can achieve that."
