Golden Rams Thinking Win Streak

If you saw them practicing at HPER gym, you may not be able to recognize them. The 2011 Albany State Golden Rams basketball teams haven't been around often for a home game, but that finally changes on Monday.

The ASU men's team will play Brewton-Parker in their first home game since Nov. 22 against Valdosta State. While the Lady Rams host a rematch game against the Blazers.

The men's team should be feeling fresh after earning their first win of the season last Monday against SIAC conference foe Tuskegee.

NAIA- school Brewton-Parker is 5-6, but the Golden Rams aren't too focused on their opponent. ASU Head Coach Chris Cameron wants to see his team improve from last Monday.

"We're looking for consistency...consistency from our last game...because we turned the ball over a little more than we wanted to and we want to be more consistent in the way we play defense," Cameron said,

"Basketball is basketball. You got to respect your opponent, any given night anybody can be beat so we're trying to work on getting better against every team no matter who we play whether it's Brewton-Parker, or we'd try to schedule Duke next week, if we could," Rams Shooting Guard Bob Colvin said.

Monday will be Community Night at HPER Gym meaning there is no charge for admission. The Lady Rams will tip-off at 6 PM with the men following at 8 PM.
