The GISA baseball tournament began on Friday.
Tiftarea Academy is a number one seed in 3A, and they played like it in the first round. The Panthers swept Augusta Prep, 6-0 and 23-2. The second win was Brad Porter's 300th as a coach.
Deerfield-Windsor went on the road and swept John Milledge, 6-2 and 7-3.
Westwood was also at home, and they beat LaGrange, 11-1. Collier Baggett threw six innings and gave up just one hit for the win. Chason Worsham went 3-4 with two doubles.
