Just days before the track and field regional championships, Westover Coach Harley Calhoun puts together one last meet before regionals.

When you have a facility like Hugh Mills Stadium it tends to make hosting meets easier.

Coach Calhoun said, "this meet gives athletes to fine tone whatever event they are in as they prepare for next week's regional championship meet."

The meet hosts 20 different schools from the Southwest Georgia area and beyond, with both the boys and girls varsity teams in attendance.

At the end of the day, it was the Monroe girls who won as a team with a total score of 141 and Westover boys winning with a 132.5.

Next Tuesday will be the start of the regional tournament for region 1-AAAA at Hugh Mills Stadium and wrapping up the finals on Thursday.
