The school year might be over and football camps are starting. The Albany State Golden Rams football team has been on the search for a strong arm at the quarterback position and today they landed one. Monroe High School quarterback Charles Stafford signed with Albany State.
Charles Stafford said, "This is exciting and the important thing is being close to my family."
After getting offers from other college football programs Stafford decided to stay close to home to be with his family to continue his football career. The four year starter broke all the passing records and touchdown records at Monroe High School. Stafford feels he is ready for the transition from high school to college and already has an idea on what offense Albany State runs.
Stafford said, "I know they run a pro still offense and as soon as I get the chance I am going to become good friends with my wide receivers."
