Former OC Returns to Albany State

Albany State has filled it's offensive coordinator position with a familiar Golden Rams coach.

After two years away, Steve Smith has returned to the "Blue and Gold", performing those same offensive coordinator duties. Smith worked with the Golden Rams in 2009 and 2010 creating a powerful, offensive attack at the division two level.

Smith left ASU after the 2010 season, taking the offensive line coaching position at Tennessee State. This past season, Smith coached under Romeo Crennel and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Smith will be replacing Uyl Joyner on the ASU coaching staff. Joyner left the team after the '13 spring practice, moving to offensive coordinator duties at Dougherty High School.
