Former Georgia Tech coach Cremins comes to Albany

Bobby Cremins compiled over 350 wins in nineteen seasons as Georgia Tech TMs head basketball coach. On Tuesday, Coach Cremins made a stop in Albany.

The event was hosted by the Albany Area Georgia Tech Alumni Network at Mossy Oaks. It was a fundraiser for the Network TMs scholarship fund.

Cremins retired from coaching in 2012 after a six year stint at the College of Charleston. He TMs returned to Georgia Tech and is helping current basketball coach Brian Gregory drum up support for the university and the basketball program.

He knows the Yellow Jackets can TMt afford to forget about Southwest Georgia.

There TMs some great athletes, you got to cover your home state, Cremins said. And Georgia TMs one of the best states for both football and basketball players.

On the night Cremins visited Albany, Georgia Tech beat seventh-ranked Syracuse, 67-62.
