Football coaches preview upcoming season at men's health event

The Tift Regional Medical Center hosted the 8th annual Kickoff to Men's Health on Saturday morning.

The TRMC offered free health screenings and gave out health tips. But there was plenty of football talk, too.

"Those Friday night lights are going to be on, you're going to hear those drums beating," Fitzgerald coach Jason Strickland said. "We're excited about it."

Local head coaches previewed their teams for the upcoming season. Besides Strickland, Turner County's John Gamble, Tift County's John Reid, and Irwin County's Buddy Nobles all spoke.

"If you ever get a chance to come watch one of us play, come watch us because it's really good football," Gamble said.
