Five Titans sign with four-year schools

Five of Albany Tech TMs men TMs basketball players signed letters of intent with four-year schools on Wednesday.

Three Titans are sticking together for the next chapter. Guard Guy Barnes and forwards Tevin Smith and Jonathan Thomas will play at Concordia College in Alabama. Barnes, who was one of Sylvester Patterson TMs top wing players last season, will transition to point guard.

Forward Lafonzo Smith, who stands 6 TM9, will play in the SIAC at Fort Valley State.

Guard Brandon Quarterman decided to stay in town to attend Albany State and play for coach Chris Cameron.

It was a pretty easy decision for me because I TMve always wanted to play for Albany State, Quarterman said.

Coach Sylvester Patterson said more Titans will be signing in the coming weeks.
