The Albany State fall baseball season is coming to a close this weekend with the blue-gold series.
Two seniors were designated as captains and they picked sides for three nine-inning games.
Head coach Kenyan Conner said ASU used the fall season to evaluate and improve. Two main areas of focus were pitchers throwing strikes and hitters making contact.
"We think we accomplished both of those," Conner said. "Those are the two major areas that we had to address this fall."
Even though field work is over for the rest of 2013, the players will continue lifting weights and conditioning as they prepare for the start of practice in January.
