Fall ball back at Darton

Fall baseball is back in season at Darton State.

Head Coach Scot Hemmings' team started a twelve game exhibition schedule with a doubleheader Wednesday against Wallace Dothan. The Cavaliers took both games.

Hemmings and his staff treat fall ball as a spring training of sorts. It's a time for the coaches to evaluate and the players to get some at bats against live pitching.

Thirty-three players are currently suiting up for Darton. Hemmings said that number will come down to around twenty-five by the time the regular season starts in the spring.

Darton's next home exhibition game is at one o'clock on Friday against Thomas University.
