Deerfield-Windsor soccer, year in and year out, have found themselves competing at the state level and this year is no different.

Both the girls and boys programs have earned number one seeds for the state playoffs that start next week.

The Knights have one more game remaining in the regular season, but tonight was senior night, with a region decider on the boys side.

The girls game started first and right out of the gate the Lady Knights were up over Brookwood at the half 4-0. The 2nd half was no time to rest, and the Lady Knights racked up 3 more goals for a final score of 7-0 over Brookwood.

Before the boys took to the field, Deerfield recognized the seniors one last time including Jordan Lane, Chapman Ivey, Taylor Grandinetti, and Andrew Sullivan.

Once the Knights took the field, it was all about taking care of busy, and they did by beating Brookwood 2-1.

Thursday will be the final game of the regular season for both the boys and girls against Tiftarea Academy.
