The Deerfield-Windsor Knights football team has a long history of winning and taking home the state title in GISA AAA. Head Coach Allen Lowe doesn't expect anything less for the 2014 season and this year they are hungry. The Knights finished the season 8-5 overall and lost to Stratford Academy in the semifinals during the state playoffs in 2013.

On offense Coach Lowe is impressed with his offensive line man the most. The O-line is big and they have speed, so look for the Knights to continue to run the ball this season. One thing that makes this offense unique, there is not just one guy they have built their offense around, so be prepared to cover everyone.

Coach Lowe said, "I expect this group of guys to line up and hit you in the mouth when we run the ball, and we plan to cover the field so teams can't focus on one guy."

On defense the Knights are led by linebacker Austin Cain who had a great offseason and is expected to be the leader for this team. Depth is always a concern, but Deerfield has 12 seniors returning.

Deerfield-Windsor has a tough schedule right out of the gate by hitting the road to Florida for weeks one and two. The Knights do not get a chance to play in front of their home crowd until week three against Southwest Georgia Academy.
