Darton soccer begins season with a clean sweep

It's a good start for Darton State soccer.

The men's and women's teams swept Georgia Military in a pair of home openers on Wednesday night.

The women scored early and often in an 11-0 rout of the Bulldogs. Sophomore Brianna Lemerise knocked in five goals, all in the first half. Kristy Vidler and Lauren Ebbs also scored two goals apiece.

The Lady Cavaliers will travel to Lakeland this weekend before playing at ABAC next Wednesday night.

Bart Sasnett's men struggled a little bit, but pulled away with three goals in the second half to beat Georgia Military, 4-2.

Matheus Ayrolla scored two goals to lead the Cavs.

The men will play Louisburg College in Dunwoody on Saturday.
