There aren't many swim camps in Southwest Georgia, but Darton State has it covered.
The Cavalier swim program has been hosting swim programs all summer and for kids of all ages. Instructors try to help beginners get more comfortable in the pool, and they focus on teaching the competitive strokes to more advanced swimmers.
"We try to break it up and keep the classes small so that we can teach them stuff that's relevant," said Darton coach Major Robinson.
The camps are also a source of fundraising for the team. Last season, the men placed 2nd in the NJCAA, while the women finished 4th.
The last camp of the summer will be next week, July 14th-17th.
