Darton baseball sends five to four-year schools
Five Darton baseball players signed their early commitments to four-year colleges on Wednesday.
Shortstop Ventavis Jerger will play at Florida A&M. Left-handed pitcher John Harman also signed with a D-1 school in Western Kentucky University. Pitcher Brandon Goldsmith and catcher Payton Mann committed to West Georgia. Hill Thomas, also a catcher, signed with Georgia Southwestern.
"They've cleaned up their game and developed into phenomenal players," said head coach Scot Hemmings.
According to Hemmings, several more players will sign again in the spring.
"The way Coach Hemmings and his coaching staff runs their program," Harman said. "I could do nothing but get better here."
Darton baseball practice starts in January.
