Darton aces first test, prepares for another

If the first game of the season was a test for the men of Darton soccer, then they aced it.

"I think that we were just ready to go, top to bottom," head coach Bart Sasnett said.

The third ranked Cavaliers cruised to a 6-0 victory over the fourth ranked team, Monroe. Three goals by Darwin Espinal and a shutout by Adam Cahill paved the way to an easy victory.

Now, it's on to the next one. Darton's rival, Georgia Perimeter, comes to town for a match on Saturday at 2 P.M. Coach Sasnett knows that, with all the newcomers to his squad, this will be another tough test.

"They don't understand it yet but they will understand during the match," Sasnett said. "It's so intense."
