Crisp, Worth take care of baseball business on Tuesday

In 4A-1 baseball, every team is chasing Crisp County.

The Cougars are the defending region champions and made it to the state semifinals in 2013. In 2014, they're off to another good start. They improved to 7 -2 on the season with a 20-0 win over Monroe High on Tuesday evening in Cordele.

In Sylvester, errors doomed Dougherty early and they fell to Worth County, 14-0.

Albany and Americus-Sumter squared off at the Eames Sports Complex and the Panthers pulled away late and won, 13-6.

The game between Westover and Cairo was postponed.
