The Crisp County Cougars were the frontrunners for the 4A-1 softball crown all season. They proved why while rolling to the region championship on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
They silenced the Worth County bats on their way to a title clinching 8-2 victory on Wednesday night. They will now have home field advantage in the first round of the state tournament.
The Cougars will be joined in the state playoffs by Worth County, Cairo, and Monroe. The tournament begins on October 16th.
