Crisp County shortstop heads to FSU
Crisp County shortstop Taylor Walls signed with Florida State to play baseball on Wednesday afternoon.
He'll play for legendary Seminole head coach Mike Martin.
"He's been an excellent defensive player. His bat's come around a lot," said Crisp County baseball coach Bill Pate. "We're expecting really big things about him."
Walls should hit near the top of the order and has good speed and an excellent glove.
He's also aware of the college baseball tradition in Tallahassee.
"I have to bring my game up to meet their history and make it better," Walls said.
