As the offseason continues and the football season grows near, questions are starting to get answered for the Dougherty County Trojans.

As week two of the summer passing league concludes, head coach Corey Joyner is starting to feel at ease for his back-up quarterback situation.

Joyner said, "You don't want to think about your starter going down, but it helps if he does that you have confidence in your backup."

The 7-on-7 passing league gave upcoming freshman Anfernee Jordan a chance to start making a name for himself, by stepping in for the senior starter; Michael Whatley.

Joyner said, "He is young but makes smart decisions when picking which person to throw to."

The offense is only part of the focus. The defensive secondary and linebackers get a good look too. For the Trojans secondary, there are some questions for the young corners stepping in this season.

Joyner said, "We due lack some experience at the corner position, but these young kids have speed and high potential once they learn the system."

The passing league continues through the month of July every Thursday at 6 p.m.
