It's been a traveling road for the Darton golf team so far this year on their schedule.

Starting on Monday March 3rd the Darton State College Cavaliers played host to a two day invitational at Doublegate Country Club. Both rounds one and two were played on Monday with a total of 36 holes, and Tuesday will conclude the event with a 18 hole round.

The event attracted 12 different schools from all over the southeast.

After fighting the rain and heavy winds, day one finished up with Darton coming in tied with second overall to Georgia Southwestern; totaling at 601. Your leader heading into the final round is Eastern Florida with a grand total of 596. Rounding out the top five with Central Alabama has a total of 605 which is good enough for a one stroke lead over Brewton Parker who sits at 606.

The third and final round will pick up bright and early with a shotgun start tomorrow morning on March 4th at Doublegate Country Club at 8AM.
