Deion Branch held his 9th annual Skills & Drills Football Camp on Saturday morning at Albany State.
The veteran wide receiver and Super Bowl MVP teamed with local football figures and former Monroe Tornado teammates to put on the camp, which emphasizes the basic fundamentals of football.
Campers jumped from station to station to get a taste of every position. Branch and the other coaches taught some of the finer points of football, like getting into the proper stance and getting off the ball.
Kids have been coming to Branch's camp for years, and the impact on and off the field has been significant.
"From what we've been seeing we've been doing a pretty good job," Branch said. "Overall, it's very important to me."
