Terrell Academy had a losing season in 2013 for the first time in eight years. They don't plan on it happening again.
In fact, the Eagles plan on having a huge season.
"Top four in our region, and then going on to state and see what we go through there," said senior Raleigh Carlson on his team's aspirations.
So far, it's been a successful offseason for Bill Murdock's program. Preseason practices have focused on cleaning up the missed assignments on defense and further developing the run game on offense.
The Eagles are also moving up from 2A to 3A, but that's not dampening the enthusiasm of the upcoming season.
"We're ready, but it's a lot of the same teams," quarterback Dalton Todd said about the schedule. "We'll just win as many games as possible and make the state playoffs and see where we go from there."
Terrell Academy is scrimmaging Westwood this Friday.
