Rain wiped out many of Tuesday's local high school baseball games, but not all of them.
In Nashville, Berrien upset Cook in a wild one, 15-14. The Hornets scored seven runs in the 7th inning before the Rebels walked off in the 8th.
In the GISA, Tiftarea Academy got a solid outing from left-hander Taylor Folsom in a 10-4 win over Deerfield-Windsor. The two teams will meet up again in Albany on April 28th.
The latest high school baseball rankings were also released on Tuesday by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and several Southwest Georgia teams were recognized. Tift County is ranked seventh in 6-A. In 4-A, Crisp County came in at number two while Worth County is ranked fourth. In 2-A, Cook is seventh while the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricanes are ranked ninth.
