The Mike White Rams football camp began on Thursday at Albany State.
For the twelfth straight year, ASU coaches and players worked with eight to eighteen-year-old football players on the skills of the game.
The focus is on fundamentals, and White said he wants the youngsters to learn how to play safe and smart. The camp teaches heads up tackling, among other things. The Rams also develop different tools for all different positions.
It's a chance for the program to connect with the community, and a chance for the kids to feel like they are a part of ASU football.
"It gets the young guys involved with the school over here, and we show them a little bit about Albany State football," White said.
The camp goes through Saturday.
