ASU football wraps up first week of practice
The defending SIAC champions are back on the football field.
Albany State started official practice on Monday.
After starting last year 1-4, this year's team is looking to come out of the gates a little faster this season. The offense brings back eight starters, including quarterback Frank Rivers. But the "dirty blue" defense has only four starters returning.
There's also plenty of new faces in blue and gold, and getting them acclimated is a process.
"You're looking for the guys that kind of stick out," White said. "And you're hoping you get your upperclassmen and your new guys to fit."
ASU has three weeks to get everybody adjusted. The opener is September 6th at Valdosta State.
