Lady Rams Lose a Heartbreaker
The Albany State Lady Rams never stopped fighting in a 48-46 loss to Stillman College.
Trailing 46-38 with three minutes remaining in the game, the Lady Rams battled back with pressure defense and turnovers to a 48-46 deficit and 10 seconds on the clock. Sophomore guard April Thomas had the game winning three pointer rattle out which also rattled ASU head coach Robert Skinner.
On the three point attempt, Thomas had the open look from the left wing and appeared to be hit by a Stillman defender on her follow through. The Lady Rams had one more attempt from close range before time expired.
With the loss, the Lady Rams fall to 1-2 in the SIAC.
