A strong senior core helped lead Westover to the 4-A final four. On Friday, another one of those seniors signed a letter of intent to play college basketball.
M.J. Vangure signed with Middle Georgia State in Cochran.
Vangure is a combo guard with size, but he prefers to play point guard. He thrives on getting his team involved and running the offense. In college, he hopes to improve his jump shot.
But defense is where he makes his biggest mark.
I want to be the defensive stopper, Vangure said. I eat, sleep, and breathe defense.
Last week, Westover seniors Timothy White and C.J. Davis signed with Georgia Perimeter, and Dunavon Robinson signed with South Georgia State.
