On Saturday Albany State's HPER Gym was packed out with Golden Rams fans and Fort Valley State fans for homecoming. On homecoming night ASU swept FVSU. The Golden Rams took one day off before returning to the hardwood to host Clark Atlanta University.

The lady Golden Rams entered the match-up with a three game winning streak and a 5-3 home record. With five minutes left to play Albany State held on to the lead under ACU's Mykala Jones made a mid-range jumper and a three to give the lady Panthers the lead by one. With the clock winding down and a series of fouls, it would be Albany State's Mecca Frost who saved the lady Golden Rams winning streak from breaking. Frost hit a long three with only 8.1 seconds left of the clock giving ASU the lead 68-66, which would be enough for the win.

After all the excitement on the floor and players jumping on Frost, the Golden Rams took the court looking for back to back wins at home. ASU entered the game with a 6-3 home record seeking to make it 7-3. Albany State had a slow start after Clark Atlanta's Kenneth Green took the lead with a three. Golden Rams offense picked up the pace with the help from Larry Bulloch, Demetri Wheeler, and Darshtyn Baker. Albany State would hold on for another win at home by beating Clark Atlanta 92-85.

Albany State will be back in action on 2-7-15 in HPER Gym for an afternoon showdown starting at 1PM against Benedict College.
