A never ending string of errors ruined the Albany State softball home opener Monday as the Lady Rams were swept by West Georgia 10-3, 18-3. ASU had plenty of opportunities to make up for the bad start with four home series this week.
The Lady Rams took advantage Wednesday sweeping Georgia Southwestern 4-2, 1-0. Wednesday's sweep of the Lady Hurricanes was only the second in the ASU softball program's history.

First, freshman Jasmine Tolen bunted for an ASU base hit. Next, Chaconna Marks hit directly to the shortstop, but a bad throw to second gave both runners a free bag.
With Lady Rams at second and third, Kandis Banks didn't need an error. Banks drilled a three-run homerun over the centerfield wall that was gone the moment it left the bat.
In game two, ASU's Shay Marks pitched 6.1 innings of two hit softball, and the Lady Rams played solid defense for the 1-0 win.
Albany State hosts Rollins College for Friday starting at 1 PM. Georgia Southwestern opens its home schedule Saturday for two games against Young Harris.
