The Albany Panthers announced their 2014 schedule at a press conference on Thursday.
They open at home against the Nashville Venom on March 22nd. They'll play their rivals, the Columbus Lions, three times during the season, but only once at home. That date is set for the last game of the regular season, June 28th.
The Professional Indoor Football League is split into two conferences. The Panthers are in the American conference, along with Columbus, the expansion Venom, and the defending champion Alabama Hammers.
The Panthers are offering a special ticket package to ramp up attendance at the Civic Center. From now until the end of the year, fans can purchase five season tickets in the upper bowl for only $50.
"It's something we wanted to do extremely special for the city of Albany and surrounding counties and all of our fans," said general manager Will Carter. "Great entertainment, great football."
