24th Annual Fountain City Classic in the books

Fountain City Classic. Albany State University battles against Fort Valley State University / Bounce T.V.

Through out Albany State's football season they have seen their share of ups and downs with Head Coach Mike White earning his 100th career win for the Golden Rams and their playoff hopes still alive.

Before ASU could get a chance for the SIAC Championship, they would first have to go through Fort Valley State in the 24th annual fountain city classic.

The environment couldn't have been better with a sunny day and both teams 3-0 in the east. The Golden Rams had a rough start, while being down 10 in the first half.

ASU finally got on the scoreboard starting in the 3rd quarter, but missing the field goal after a high snap left it 10-6 in favor of Fort Valley State.

Once the 4th quarter started it was all Albany State, holding Fort Valley State to only 10 points.

In the end, the Golden Rams get the win with an outstanding come back to end the game at 19-10.

Next week Albany State will represent the east for the SIAC Championship game held in Atlanta, and they will play Miles University.
