Albany State sweeps Tuskegee at home
The Albany State men's and women's basketball teams played Tuskegee at home on Saturday, with both teams walking away with victories.
The men's team defeated Tuskegee, 70-56, to pick up their first home win of the season and third win in conference play. Devontay Ward led all scorers with 21 points, while Jordan Floyd had 18 for the Rams.
In the women's game, the Rams entered halftime up 10, but didn't start to make a bigger push in their lead until late in the third.
Albany State went on an 8-2 run in the final three minutes of the quarter to go up 19 entering the fourth. They outscored Tuskegee, 41-18, in the second half, and held them to 17.5% from the field for the game.
Keidra Green had 18 points for the Rams, while Artisha Holston had nine points and 16 rebounds.
