Louisiana attempted murder suspect captured in Gulf Breeze
GULF BREEZE, Fla. (WEAR) - A man with a warrant for attempted murder out of Louisiana has been captured in Santa Rosa County.
The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office said a deputy was on patrol Friday morning on Highway 98 when he saw a car driving 65 mph in a 45 mph zone.
The deputy initiated a traffic stop for a simple speeding violation.
During the traffic stop, the sheriff's office said the deputy identified the driver as 25-year-old Devin Deques Anderson.
Dispatch told the deputy that Anderson had an active warrant out of Louisiana for an attempted murder charge, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies said drugs and a loaded handgun were found in the car.
