Sen. Graham: President should call election 'fair and accurate'

South Carolina Senator Lindsay Graham told reporters President Donald Trump is putting his ability to govern at risk by repeating allegations illegal voters cost him the popular vote.

Graham, a former candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, was on his way to a cabinet nomination for Rep. Tom Price (R-Georgia), and reacted to the comments Trump reportedly made last night during a meeting at the White House with ranking Members of Congress.

"It's not coming from a candidate for the office, it's coming from the man who holds the office," Graham said.

"I am begging the president to share with us the information you have about this, or please stop saying it."

Instead, he said the president should come out and call the election "fair and accurate."

Meanwhile, protesters gathered outside of Graham's district office in Charleston, South Carolina, urging the senator to vote against Betsy DeVos -- President Donald Trump's pick for Secretary of Education.
