You can help fight hunger in Southwest Georgia
Second Harvest of South Georgia and the U.S. Post Office are teaming up to help feed Albany and want your help.
All you have to do is place non-perishable items in a plastic bag and put it in your mailbox. Tomorrow, mail carriers will pick those bags up for the food drive. 100-percent of the collected food will go back into the community.
Second Harvest Operation Director Tony Hall says he hopes everyone participates.
"To help end hunger here in rural Southwest Georgia, it's so important that we have a good turnout on this," said Hall.
You can also drop off bags of food at the Harvey's on North and South Slappey Boulevard and at Kmart on Dawson Road.
