Saturday is World AIDS Day and for FOX 31's Facebook story of the day people wanted to know what events are planned for it in southwest Georgia?

The Southwest Health District will host 'Divas in Denim and Diamond' with the theme of 'My Sister's Keeper'.

The event will include a testimonial from a guest speaker living with HIV.

There will also be an educational session followed by free HIV testing for those who attend.

This event is only open to those who received an invitation.

The Albany Area Primary Healthcare HIV Clinic will hold its event for World AIDS Day on Monday.

"We have personal care items for our patients and so we're going to be fixing them up little goody bags and then we'll also be serving breakfast. We'll really be serving snacks all through the day," said Terri Mondus, a Registered Nurse.

The personal care items were donated by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

The State Department of Health will also host a live Twitter chat for World AIDS Day Saturday from noon to 1:00 p.m.
