      Women's Luncheon kicks of Black Expo

      Actress Lynn Whitfield, star of the Josephine Baker Story and Madea's Family Reunion, was the keynote speaker

      The Albany Area Black Expo is now officially in full swing. Thursday hundreds showed up to the Women of Purpose luncheon.

      The theme focused on women who've made a significant difference in Southwest Georgia.

      Actress Lynn Whitfield, star of the Josephine Baker Story and Madea's Family Reunion, was the keynote speaker.

      "It's just something, girlfriend to girlfriend, sister to sister, woman to woman and human to human really, this just happens to be a women's luncheon. Stay at the top of your game keep it moving keep it fresh," said Whitfield.

      The Black Expo continues tomorrow with a business breakfast and a concert at the Civic Center. The big trade show is Saturday morning and is free to the public.
