Two Thomasville women have been indicted by a grand jury for allegedly trying to help an inmate escape from the Colquitt County Jail in February.

Officials say 25-year-old Chavaya Torres and 21-year-old Tylesia Garland helped 32-year-old Demetrius Demario Walden get to Florida by giving him clothes to use and renting a car.

Officials say the women drove Walden to Tallahassee on February 11th after he left a cleaning detail while serving time.
