The Albany Police Department responded to a call in the 1400 block of Whispering Pines Avenue around 9:30 Thursday night.
The victim, Gavin Bluain, stated that he went to ex-girlfriend's house to pick up the rest of his belongings.
As Bluain was leaving the residence, the suspect, Ladaysha Hall, became angry and stabbed Bluain in the back with a knife.
EMS was called to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital.
The Family Protection Unit has charged Hall with aggravated assault.
ORIGINAL STORY: Albany Police say a man in his early twenties got into an argument with his ex-girlfriend when moving his belongings out of their apartment at 1400 block of Whispering Pines.
As the man walked out of the door, his ex stabbed him in the back. An ambulance was called and took the victim to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Police will release more information on the domestic violence incident once charges have been filed.
