Woman Killed, Police Looking for Suspect

Albany Police say they're looking for a former Dougherty County Sheriff's Office Employee suspected of stabbing and killing his girlfriend Wednesday afternoon.

Police Spokesperson Phyllis Banks says 30-year-old Rashonda Dowell was stabbed in broad daylight at a supermarket parking lot on E. Ogelthorpe Blvd. in front of multiple witnesses. Dowell was rushed to the hospital, but died from her injuries. Police say her boyfriend Allen Wade Robinson of 1602 Stuart Ave. is a suspect. Robinson was arrested October 5th for violating a temporary protective order by trying to contact Dowell, his girlfriend. Dowell told police Robinson hit her in a September 30th incident.

Dowell was last seen wearing a black jumpsuit. Police say he's a bald, tall, black-male with dark skin. If you have any information call Crime Stoppers at 436-TIPS
