      Woman attacks ex-boyfriend and tries to burn his house down

      A Douglas woman is in jail and facing multiple charges after attacking her ex-boyfriend on January 4th.

      Officials with the Atkinson County Sheriff's Office say the assault took place shortly round noon Friday.

      According to investigators, 26-year-old Nikki Griffin arrived at he ex-boyfriends house, hit him with a hammer and stabbed him before dousing the house in lighter fluid and setting it on fire.

      Griffin faces charges of aggravated assault, first degree burglary, and first degree arson.

      Her ex-boyfriend is reported to be ok.
