Wild Adventures Theme Park employees lined the gates of the park to welcome guests to the first day of the 2013 season when the park opened at 10:00 a.m. The Valdosta theme park opened today, Saturday, March 16 to beautiful weather, two new rides, live shows and more than a dozen animal experiences. 24 lucky guests were the first to ride the new thrill ride TailSpin while Valdosta High School Jazz Ensemble performed for all who visited.Families from Valdosta and the surrounding communities visited Wild Adventures to enjoy all of the park's experiences, both new and cherished, for opening day. The excitement of the 2013 season's opening day continues with performances by Waltens Acrobatic Variety Show, one of the park's new shows playing now through April 7, and classic rock band 38 Special performing at 8:00 PM in the park's amphitheater. Guests can experience all of the park's adventures free with park admission or a 2013 Season Pass.New rides, TailSpin and Wacky Wheels create a new entertainment hub by the lake for families to have fun and reconnect. TailSpin is a rocking and spinning thrill ride on a half-pipe which takes riders more than four stories high while facing outward on a motorcycle-like seat.
