Wild Adventures elephant dies
The Asian elephant that has lived at Wild Adventures Theme Park for the past 8 years died at the age of 59.
Park officials say they were aware of Queenie TMs health status and were working closely with zoo veterinarians to best manage her health issues.
Queenie joined Wild Adventures in 2003 and she TMs believed to be one of the oldest Asian elephants in North America. Asian elephants typically live between 50-60 years.
Wild Adventures General Manager Bob Montgomery says he TMs saddened to lose a member of the Wild Adventures family. We are comforted by the fact that we were able to give her a great place to live out the rest of her life and are thankful for the time we were able to share her with our guests and our team members. She will be missed.
Her claim to fame is that Queenie was known as the world TMs only water skiing elephant.
