What would happen if the power went out in Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital? Not to worry, FOX 31 stopped by the hospital and found out that the building is stocked to the ceiling with seven generators. Officials say workers check them daily, weekly, monthly and annually. David Paul, Director of Facilities says their technology goes so far, they can even track the weather. "Typically it's about 20 minutes before the event so we can take appropriate precautions whether it's bringing generators online prior to a potential outage, potentially having to move patients away from windows." If the power does go out, it only takes 10 seconds for those generators to kick in.
