Wet weather brings numerous watches and warnings

With all of the rain affecting Southwest Georgia, multiple areas are under watches and warnings. The National Weather Service currently has these in effect:Flood WarningLee County 8/20/2013 10:15 AM to 8/25/2013 12:30 AMBerrien County 8/20/2013 9:18 AM to 8/21/2013 3:17 AMFlash Flood Watch8/20/2013 8:00 AM to 8/21/2013 8:00 AM for Mitchell, Colquitt, County, Terrell, Ben Hill, Berrien, Cook, Calhoun, Baker, Tift, Worth County, Irwin, Lee, and Dougherty Counties8/20/2013 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM for Coffee and Atkinson County8/20/2013 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM for Crisp CountyThe National Weather Service has also alert that the Kinchafoonee Creek at 11 E of Dawson at Pinewood Rd in Lee County has been observed to have minor flooding while the Kinchafoonee at Preston is below flood stage.Observations have also been sent in for the Flint River at Lake Blackshear and reports say that it is below flood stage.
